What changed in Snipbook, newest releases first

You always run the latest version. Snipbook updates in the background, whether you installed it or use it in a browser.

31 October 2026

A menu for every pocket item. Press and hold an item in the pocket, or right-click it: add a background as a sticker, a photo as the background, or a template or frame small.
Hints when they help. The tips on turning pages and on the pocket's menu show up once, at the moment they are useful.
November backgrounds. A new pack of page backgrounds in the Store.

27 October 2026

List and notes pages. Three new page layouts: To-do list, Four lists and Notes. Their lines fit 24-pt text, so typed lines sit on the rules.
Any paper colour. The last swatch in the Paper row opens a colour picker, and the page's lines adjust to the colour.
Tools in the Store. A new Tools tab links to the free photo-to-palette and polka-dot collage pages.
Coffee backgrounds. A new pack of page backgrounds in the Store.

Vectorized shades. Shades stay sharp at any zoom, pinching a page with shaded stickers works much faster, and shades export to PDF as vectors.
Better text resizing. Resizing from a corner no longer blows up a thin text box.
Copy and paste elements. Copy, cut and paste selected elements between pages.
SVG paste. An SVG from the clipboard pastes as a vector image.
Steady preview cache. Page previews stay put across app updates instead of being redrawn after every one.
Collage grids. A new pack of photo frames: grids for two to six photos.

Pocket icons on phones. Each pocket tab has an icon on mobile. New items are added at the front.
PDF transparency fix. Shapes and outlines export with their transparency.

16 October 2026

My diary. A new Inspo set: ten diary, to-do and reading-list pages in colours you choose.
Polaroid frames. The Polaroids pack moved from Templates to Frames.
PDF outline fix. Shapes without an outline no longer export with a black one.
Photo booth and Lace & ribbons. Two new packs of photo frames: photo-booth strips, and borders of lace, ribbon and pearls.

HD exports. Optimized snippets are saved into the pocket, and HD versions are only loaded for export.
Android photo uploads bug. Photos picked from Android's photo picker no longer fail to load.
Home page on laptops. Home keeps its actions scattered around the hero in a small laptop window.

Doodle colours. On a phone, the Image button shows a recolorable sticker's colour.
Tablet controls fix. Fixed palette width overflow on tablets.

Frames. A new Store tab with photo frames: artistic cut effects on a dropped photo.
Account deletion. An account can be fully deleted from the account window.
Localized dates. Dates follow the app's language, not the browser's.

Copy and move pages. Pages can be copied or moved to another diary.
Groups. Several elements can be grouped together hierarchically.

15 more fonts. 45 families in total, including Roboto, Roboto Slab, Schoolbell, Short Stack and League Script; Neucha is replaced by Playpen Sans, which also has a real bold.

Autumn stickers. More than 500 stickers in total.

Shades. Every element may cast a customizable shadow.
Blur. Shapes can be turned into coloured glass, blurring what's under them.
Stroke smoothing. Pen strokes come out as curves rather than shaky lines, with adjustable smoothing degree.

Photo cropping. Photos can be cropped to a shape: circle, square, star, blob, or a jagged star.
Multi-selection. Add a Select tool to sweep multiple elements, then move, scale, or rotate them together.
Pocket tabs. The pocket tray is split into tabs, and photos can be uploaded straight into it.
Templates. A template from the Pocket lands fitted to the page.
PDF export fixes. Exported text is drawn the way the canvas draws it, with multi-language support.

Fonts picker. Fix font picker so it's usable on mobile.
Sticky Pen. The Pen stays selected after a stroke, allowing freehand drawing.
Popover fixes. Panels move out of the way when the on-screen keyboard resizes the view.

Diary export. A diary can be exported to a file and imported back on another device.
Drag and drop. Photos can be dropped onto a page from the desktop.
Hugging text. The text box fits its text instead of starting at a fixed width, reset after resizing by double-clicking the edge.

Paste photos. Images can be pasted into a page from the clipboard.
Resize snapping. Resizing snaps correctly now.

Simpler urls. The address bar stays clean while a diary is open.
Better dragging. A selected element can be dragged even if something covers it.

Pre-filled pocket. A new install comes with a few stickers already in the pocket.
Home screen. Snipbook opens on a special home screen.

Snipbook went live at snipbook.app with:

The canvas. Photos, text, rectangles, ellipses, lines, arrows, and freehand drawing on an open page.
Text. Four bundled fonts, bold, italic, underline, alignment, and colour.
Element controls. Move, scale, rotate, reorder, duplicate, lock, and fade anything, with unlimited undo and redo.
Snapping. Alignment guides, equal spacing, and 15° rotation detents, all bypassed by holding Alt.
Diaries. Many pages per diary: add, duplicate, delete, reorder, rename, and step between them in the editor.
Page formats. Nine formats, chosen per page, A4 in both orientations included.
Local storage. Everything saves to your own device as you work, and nothing is uploaded.
Export. A page as a picture or a PDF, a whole diary as one PDF.
The Store. A library of stickers and backgrounds you collect into a pocket and place later.
Offline use. Installable as an app, and usable without a connection apart from the Store.
